Zorro

Zorro, Spanish for fox, is the name used by a fictional character, a Mexican-era California masked hero and master swordsman of the Old West, whose real name is Don Diego de la Vega. (Don Diego Vega in the original story). He fights for the Californio people against the corrupt tyranny of the Spanish governor, proving himself to be much too foxlike and cunning for the bumbling authorities to catch.

Friends and Villains

Bernardo is Diego de la Vega's (and Zorro) assistant/butler (like Alfred in Batman). Bernardo is mute, so he communicates with people using signals. Many people think that Bernardo is deaf; but he is not. He uses this belief to his advantage since sometimes people speak freely in front of him about their evil plans which he later tells to Zorro.

Sergeant Dimitrio Garcia is a fat soldier who has a very good heart but is sometimes forced to do things he doesn´t like (such as taking innocent people to jail). He and Zorro have a friend-enemy relationship because Zorro helps people and Garcia's superiors order him to capture Zorro. Sometimes Zorro leaves Garcia´s in ridiculious situations (such as leaving him with his pants cut off). Despite working for Zorro's enemies, Garcia is a good person.
