Zomba Music Group

Zomba Music Group was started in 1977 by Clive Calder as a book publishing venture and moved into the recording business in 1981 as Zomba Records. Calder sold a 20% minority stake to BMG in 1996. He sold the remainder of the shares to BMG in 2001.

Zomba now groups different labels: Epidemic Records, Jive Records, Music For Nations Records, Pinacle Records, Rough Trade Records, Silvertone, Verity Records and Volcano Records (formerly Scotti Bros. Records).
