Zoe Baird


 

Zoe Baird (born 1952) is a U.S. lawyer. She was Bill Clinton's first unsuccessful nominee for attorney general in 1993. She is now President of the Markle Foundation and on the Board of Trustees of the Brookings Institution.

Baird withdrew her name from consideration for the attorney general position when it was learned that she had hired illegal aliens as a chauffeur and a nanny. Baird paid $2,900 in fines for the infraction.
