Zapfino
Zapfino is a calligraphic typeface designed for Linotype by renowned typeface designer Hermann Zapf. It is based on an alphabet Zapf originally penned in 1944. As a font, it makes extensive use of ligatures and character variations. ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~

The version included with Mac OS X contains only one of the 6 weights sold by Linotype. ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ In Mac OS X, the text above should be displayed with ligatures. Unfortunately, few web browsers display text with ligatures, not even Safari.
