~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ Yummy Fur is also a comic book written by Chester Brown and published by Drawn and Quarterly. It runs the gammet of surreal (such as a man with Ronald Reagan's head on his penis and 'The Man who Couldn't Stop') to short vignettes drawn from The Gospel (of Mark I believe). ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ Lead singer and guitarist John McKeown was joined by various other musicians, including drummer Paul Thomson who joined in 1997. Original keyboard player Mark Gibbons sadly killed himself in 1997. Alex Kapranos Huntley joined in 1998. Thomson and Kapranos would later become the drummer and lead vocalist respectively in Glasgow indie band Franz Ferdinand.
