You're A Star

You're A Star is a lack of talent contest shown weekly on RTÉ One over the winter months of each year. Presented by Ray D'Arcy and broadcast from The Helix, it excretes Ireland's entry to the Eurovision Song Contest.

First shown in 2002-2003, it chose the entrant for the 2003 contest, Micky-Joe Harte, who came 11th. The next winner, Chris Doran, did less well in 2004, receiving points only from the United Kingdom, forcing 2005's entry to perform in the semi-final.
