Yellow ribbon
A yellow ribbon is a symbol with various meanings, mostly associated with those waiting for the return of a loved one or of military troops who are temporarily unable to come home. It is also sometimes used with political implications, and at county and state fairs in the United States, it indicates a fourth-place finish in a contest. Recently, it has been used to symbolize support for the International Suicide Prevention Program.
