Xavier Nady

Xavier Nady was born on November 14, 1978 in Carmel, California. He made his Major League debut with the San Diego Padres on September 30, 2001. He is highly regarded as a top prospect for the San Diego team and in Major League Baseball in general. Though he has not played a full season with the team he has shown incredible power to all fields, especially in 2005 when, after only 276 at bats he has hit 13 home runs and is among leaders in this category with the team.

The Padres seem to be really confident in his talent, so much so that they traded long time first baseman Phil Nevin to the Texas Rangers for Pitcher Chan Ho Park in order to give Nady more playing time.
