WWE RAW Gold Rush Tournament

On the May 2nd, 2005 edition of Monday Night RAW, General Manager Eric Bischoff announced a brand new tournament to determine the new number one contender to the RAW World Heavyweight Championship.

Eight wrestlers were announced for the tournament, but as a stipulation, Bischoff said that the wrestlers wouldn't know who their opponent would be until they came to the ring. The eight wrestlers that competed in the tournament were Chris Benoit, Chris Jericho, Christian, Triple H, Shelton Benjamin, Shawn Michaels, Kane, and Edge.
