Wu-Tang Clan affiliates
The pioneering hardcore hip hop group Wu-Tang Clan's plan to conquer the hip hop industry consisted not only of making each member into a solo star in their own right, but also to create and promote numerous affiliate artists.
Killarmy
One of the most prominent Wu-Tang affiliates and one of the first to emerge. Originally consisted of New York rappers 9th Prince (RZA's younger brother), Islord, Dom Pachino and Killa Sin as well as Steubenville, Ohio producer 4th Disciple, but expanded in 1996 with the addition of Beretta 9 and Shogun Assassin, also from Steubenville. Killarmy released numerous singles during the 1995-1997 period, including "Seems It Never Fails" and "Camouflage Ninjas" as well as the Sunz Of Man collaborations "Wake Up", "Five Arch Angels" and "Soldiers Of Darkness". The album Silent Weapons For Silent Wars was released in 1997 just after the release of the Wu-Tang Clan's second album, as well as a 12" single containing two tracks from the album, "Wu-Renegades" and "Clash Of The Titans". Shortly after the group's manager General Wise was shot dead in Steubenville, but the group pressed on undeterred, appearing on the ' compilation and each making numerous appearances on other Wu-Tang projects from the Clansmen themselves and from other affiliates. The group's second album Dirty Weaponry was released in 1998 and the third, Fear Love & War was released on September 11, 2001. 9th Prince and Dom Pachino have since recorded solo albums, and Shogun Assassin is rumored to be next in line. Albums: Silent Weapons For Quiet Wars (1997); Dirty Weaponry (1998); Fear, Love & War
