Wu-Tang Clan affiliates
The pioneering hardcore hip hop group Wu-Tang Clan's plan to conquer the hip hop industry consisted not only of making each member into a solo star in their own right, but also to create and promote numerous affiliate artists.
Deadly Venoms
An all-female group originally consisting of N-Tyce, J-Boo, Champ MC and Finesse (formerly of Finesse & Synquis). Lin Que/Isis (formerly affiliated with X-Clan) also performing and recorded with the group as a fifth member at one point. A legal dispute with A&M Records forced their debut self-titled album to remain in the vaults. This scenario was repeated when their second album Pretty Thugs was never released due to similar label disputes, this time with Dreamworks. Copies of the record were leaked, however. Still with Wu-Tang Management, the group, reduced to three with the departure of Finesse for undisclosed business reasons, finally managed to release an album with 2002's Still Standing on Rocks The World Records.
