WSAZ-TV is a television station in Huntington, West Virginia. Owned by Emmis Broadcasting, it is the NBC affiliate for the Huntington-Charleston market, the second-largest television market (in terms of area) east of the Mississippi River. The station serves 61 counties in central West Virginia, northestern Kentucky and southeastern Ohio. On August 22, 2005 the station was sold, pending regulatory approval, for $186 million dollars to Gray Television.
