Wrongfully Accused

Wrongfully Accused is a 1998 satirical movie starring Leslie Nielsen as Ryan Harrison, a violinist who's been framed in the murder of Hibbing Goodhue by Sean Leaughrea, a one-armed, one-legged, one-eyed man, and his sister, Cass Lake. As Harrison runs from the law, Sean and Cass embark on a terrorist plot to assassinate the president of the UN. This film was written, produced, and directed by Pat Proft. The film pokes fun at the movies The Fugitive, Volcano , and others.

Most of the scenes were filmed and/or based in Minnesota, with help coming from WCCO Channel 4 and other Minnesotans. Hibbing Goodhue, the character that is killed, is the combination of the city of Hibbing (in the north part of the state) and the county of Goodhue (where Red Wing is located.) Cass Lake is an actual lake and city in North Central Minnesota (Cass County).
