WrestleMania 22

WrestleMania 22, the World Wrestling Entertainment's twenty-second annual flagship pay-per-view event, is scheduled to take place on April 2, 2006 in Rosemont, Illinois at the Allstate Arena. This is the third WrestleMania to take place in Chicago, as WrestleMania 13 and a portion of WrestleMania 2 took place there.

A promotional video which aired during Wrestlemania 21, represented the "22" as roman numerals (XXII) like previous WrestleManias. However, the final decision is to make it using cardinal numbers.

Expect to see matches announced early 2006. Following tradition, the winner of the 2006 Royal Rumble will likely receive a WWE Championship or World Heavyweight Championship match at the event. Also, expect Hall of Fame Inductees to be announced in late January or early to mid February. It is also rumoured following an interview on WWE Homecoming on October 3, 2005 that Hulk Hogan is requesting a match against Stone Cold Steve Austin
