World (magazine)
WORLD Magazine is a weekly news magazine based in Asheville, North Carolina. WORLD differs from most other news magazines in that it its perspective is one of conservative evangelical Protestantism: Its mission statement is "to report and analyze the news on a weekly schedule in an interesting, accurate, and arresting fashion, and to combine reporting with practical commentary on current events and issues from a perspective committed to the Bible as the inerrant Word of God."

Launched by Joel Belz in 1986, the magazine started small, initially requesting donations in every issue to stay afloat. It has grown steadily ever since, and its publishers express hope of someday reaching the circulation level of the nation's top, secular newsweeklies.

Currently, Marvin Olasky is the magazine's editor-in-chief, and John Piper is a frequent contributor. In the past, Cal Thomas was also a frequent contributor.
