"Word Up" was a smash-hit R&B/Dance song by Cameo, released in 1986. It was their most commercially successful record and charted around the world. It was later covered by Scottish rock band Gun, was a UK hit for pop star Melanie G in 1999 and the US nu metal band Ko?n in 2004.
