Wired News, online at Wired.com, is an online technology news website that split off from Wired Magazine when it was purchased by Cond? Nast Publishing in the 1990s. It was subsequently acquired by Lycos. While Wired News still reprints the magazine's content and preserves the Wired flag, they are now completely different entities.
