Wing Commander (computer game)

Wing Commander is a series of space combat simulation computer games from Origin Systems, Inc.. Created by Chris Roberts and first appearing in 1990, Wing Commander is most noted for its style of cinematic storytelling, which it pioneered in computer games.

Continuity and Canon Validity of the Movie and Subsequent Movie Based Novels

It has been somewhat of a debatable fact of whether or not the Wing Commander movie and its subsequent novels, such as the movie novelization, and the Pilgrim Stars and Pilgrim Truth novels fit into the continuity of the games and Baen novels. One would note that, prior to the movie, the Pilgrims were not mentioned at all, and afterwards, the non-Baen novels were the only ones that mentioned Pilgrims.
