Traditionally, several days of events were planned, ending with one of the world's largest fireworks displays, sponsored by Target. A midway consisting of carnival rides and concessions is located in Windsor during the festival.

After poor management and inclement weather caused a large financial loss in 2003, much of the festival no longer exists in its traditional form on the Windsor side of the border. The midway continues to operate as stand-alone attraction at the end of June, beginning of July.
