Windsor-Detroit International Freedom Festival
The Windsor-Detroit International Freedom Festival is a multi-day festival celebrated jointly by the cities of Detroit, Michigan and Windsor, Ontario to celebrate their countries' independence days (US Independence Day on July 4 and Canada Day on July 1).

Traditionally, several days of events were planned, ending with one of the world's largest fireworks displays, sponsored by Target. A midway consisting of carnival rides and concessions is located in Windsor during the festival.

After poor management and inclement weather caused a large financial loss in 2003, much of the festival no longer exists in its traditional form on the Windsor side of the border. The midway continues to operate as stand-alone attraction at the end of June, beginning of July.
