Wim Duisenberg

Willem Frederik Duisenberg, commonly known as Wim Duisenberg, (July 9, 1935 – July 31, 2005) was a Dutch banker and politician. The first president of the European Central Bank (1998 – 2003), he was instrumental in the introduction of the euro in twelve European countries in 2002.
