Wim Boost
Willem Louis Joseph Boost (July 2, 1918 - August 1, 2005), was a Dutch cartoonist, using the alias WiBo. Born in Breda, he started his career as a drawing teacher, and then started to work for the Toonder studios. He worked for several journals and newspapers including the Jeugdkampioen, Het Lichtspoor, Mandril (1948-???), Haagse Post (1952-1955), Studio (1963-1965), and probably most noteworthy, the Dutch national newspaper de Volkskrant, for which he worked from 1951 till 1985. For many years he made a daily cartoon for the front page of the latter newspaper. ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~
