Willie Thrower
Willie Thrower was a professional American football player. Born in a Pittsburgh suburb, he was an early African American professional player in the post-World War II era and was the first black player to appear in a National Football League game at quarterback, appearing at that position for some games for the Chicago Bears in 1953.
