William Weld
William Floyd Weld (born July 31, 1945) was the Republican Governor of the U.S. state of Massachusetts from 1991 to 1997, resigning to pursue the ambassadorship to Mexico. In August 2005, Weld officially announced his candidacy for Governor of New York in the 2006 elections.
