He was the grandfather of William S. Burroughs the writer. ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ He died in Citronelle, Alabama and was interred in Bellefontaine Cemetery in St. Louis, Missouri. ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~
