William Cooper (radio host)
William Cooper (1943 -- November 5, 2001) was a radio host, author and political activist most known for his best-selling underground book titled Behold A Pale Horse and his worldwide shortwave radio show Hour of the Time. William Cooper was also well known for his court battle with the IRS and the recorded attempts to disway him from pursuing his case, as well as the related CAJI News Service brief titled BATF/IRS -- Criminal Fraud where he alleges a history of crimes commited by the Internal Revenue Service, Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms and the Department of the Treasury. He had also produced several documentaries covering subjects such as the John F. Kennedy assassination and government 'black projects'. His detractors labeled him a conspiracy theorist because of his publications, a charge Cooper vehemently denied.

In both occasions he left the military with a honorable discharge, while the reasons are unclear it may be due to his record of motion sickness and an alleged amputation of his leg, respectively. William Cooper was awarded several medals for his leadership and heroism during combat including two with a "V" for Valor.

After years of filing FOIA requests and researching the IRS William Cooper brought suit against the IRS in Federal District Court in Phoenix Arizona to force the IRS to produce proof of jurisdiction and delegation of authority which the IRS was unable to do. To short circuit Mr. Cooper's attempt to reveal what he believed to be the true nature of the IRS, and to carry out the orders of the White House, the agency lied to a Grand Jury, not allowing William Cooper to testify, and secured indictments against Mr. Cooper and his wife Annie. This ploy successfully stopped Mr. Cooper from continuing his suit against the IRS for fear of being arrested.
