William Clay Ford, Jr.
William Clay (Bill) Ford Jr. (born May 3, 1957) is the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Ford Motor Company.
Green credentials questioned
He was noted by some as an environmentalist. having driven an electric Ford Ranger EV, and in the year 2000 having promised a 25% reduction in SUV fuel consumption by 2005, but now is considered by outside environmentalists has having been unable to accomplish any real improvement in Ford's environmental performance, with the introduction of vehicles such as the petrol-thirsty Ford Expedition and Ford Excursion SUVs as convincing evidence of an other than green corporate agenda.
