Wilf Hanni

Wilf Hanni is a politician and oil industry consultant in British Columbia, Canada. Hanni served as leader of the Reform Party of British Columbia from October 30, 1997 to June 1998, and later as leader of the British Columbia Party. On September 24, 2005, he was appointed interim leader of the British Columbia Conservative Party.

The Reform Party of BC was a minor right-wing party that won two seats in the Legislative Assembly of British Columbia and 9.27% of the popular vote in the May 28, 1996 provincial election. Many blamed Reform for splitting the right-wing vote and helping the New Democratic Party of British Columbia, led by Glen Clark, get re-elected. The leader, Jack Weisgerber, who had defeated Hanni for the party leadership in the previous contest, resigned.
