Whitman College
Whitman College is an independent, co-educational, non-sectarian residential liberal arts and sciences undergraduate college in Walla Walla, Washington. The college is located in the heart of the city, in southeastern Walla Walla County of Washington, two and a half hours from Spokane, four hours from Portland, and four and a half hours from Seattle by car.

Whitman College is a nationally recognized liberal arts school and is ranked as the best such institution in the Pacific Northwest, according to the U.S. News & World Report college rankings. Situated on a campus surrounded by wheat fields and wineries, Whitman College offers a challenging educational experience with a 10 to 1 student to faculty ratio and no teaching assistants, allowing for direct access to faculty. The college boasts an 86% graduation rate, the highest in the Pacific Northwest and fifth highest west of the Mississippi River. Additionally, the college has the largest endowment-and-trust-funds per student ratio and the highest alumni participation in its annual fund of any college in the United States.
