White Cube
White Cube is a contemporary art venue in Hoxton in the East End of London. This long run-down area has been popular with Young British Artists since the 1990s. White Cube is housed in a former light industrial building. It was opened in 2000 and extended in 2002. A focal point of the Brit Art movement, it stages individual and group exhibitions featuring works by the likes of Damien Hirst and Tracey Emin. The White Cube is owned and run by the art dealer Jay Jopling who is married to the artist Sam Taylor-Wood. ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~
