White County, Arkansas
White County is a county located in the U.S. state of Arkansas. As of 2000, the population is 67,165. The county seat is Searcy. The county was formed on October 23, 1835 and named for Hugh Lawson White, a Whig candidate for President of the United States.
Geography
According to the U.S. Census Bureau, the county has a total area of 2,700 km² (1,042 mi²). 2,678 km² (1,034 mi²) of it is land and 22 km² (8 mi²) of it is water. The total area is 0.80% water.
