Where The Wild Things Are
Where The Wild Things Are by Maurice Sendak (ISBN 0-06-025492-0) is an illustrated children's book describing through fantasy how a young boy named Max, who wears a distinctive wolf suit, handles his anger at being sent to his room without supper.
The Book
Written in 1963, it was awarded the Caldecott Medal in 1964, and in 1970, Sendak was the first American illustrator to be awarded the prestigious Hans Christian Andersen Award, for his entire body of work.
