What a Girl Wants is a 2003 film directed by Dennie Gordon. The plot is about an American teenager Daphne Reynolds (played by Amanda Bynes) who learns that her father Henry Dashwood (Colin Firth) is a wealthy British politician running for office. Although she is eager to find him, she realizes it could cause a scandal and cost him the election.
