Westfalia

Westfalia is the designation of various specially-coachbuilt Volkswagen camper vans. The famous "pop-top" package was offered with the second-generation VW Bus from 1968-1979, its successor the Vanagon, and most recently in the T4 EuroVan. It is named for the Westphalia region of Germany, where the contractor that builds the vans is located.

The Westfalia-Werke also was responsible for coachbuilding the late-80s Vanagon "Wolfsburg Edition," which did not feature the pop-top but did contain special amenities such as rear-facing seats and a foldable table.
