Western Canada

Western Canada is a geographic region of Canada, generally considered to be west of the province of Ontario, although its precise definition is a source of controversy (see below). It consists of the following four provinces:

The latter three of these provinces are collectively referred to as the Prairie Provinces, or simply "The Prairies."
