Wesley Willis

Wesley Willis (May 31, 1963 – August 21, 2003) was an African American musician from Chicago, Illinois.

The Documentary

In 2003, Filmmaker Daniel Bitton released a film about Wesley Willis called The Daddy of Rock 'N' Roll. The documentary followed Willis around as he talks to himself, writes a song, performs a concert, records a track, and visits his friends. Bitton also interviewed many people who commonly interacted with Willis.
