Wayne is a city located in Wayne County in the U.S. state of Michigan. As of the 2000 census, the city had a total population of 19,051. Ford Motor Company has two plants here; assembling the Ford Expedition and Lincoln Navigator in one, and the Ford Focus in the other. Wayne is famous for its numerous "dive bars", antique shops, its annual WheelFest, and a controversial parking structure (which was built by the city council and subsequently never used).
