Wayne County, New York

Wayne County is a county located in the U.S. state of New York. As of 2000, the population is 93,765. The county seat is Lyons. The name is in honor of General Anthony Wayne, who fought the Indian tribes and won a victory, leading to a 1794 treaty that assured western New York State to the United States of America.
