Waycross, Georgia
Waycross is a city located in Ware County, Georgia. As of the 2000 census, the city had a total population of 15,333. The city is the county seat of Ware County{{GR|6}}.

Other residents achieving some measure of fame are playwright and actor Ossie Davis, and actors Pernell Roberts and Burt Reynolds. Reynolds moved away at an early age but Davis and Roberts grew to adulthood in Waycross. Davis attended Center High School and Roberts attended Waycross High School. Waycross is also home to the Jones Company, a local conglomerate which owns a number of businesses operating in the area.
