Waukegan, Illinois
Waukegan is a city located in Lake County, Illinois, of which it is the county seat. As of the 2000 census, the city had a total population of 87,901. A 2002 census estimated the city population to be at 91,323.
Geography
Waukegan is located at 42°22'21" North, 87°51'41" West (42.372471, -87.861521){{GR|1}}. Waukegan is on the shore of Lake Michigan, about 10 miles south of the border with Wisconsin and 40 miles north of Chicago, at an elevation of about 669 feet above sea level.
