Wan Rong
Wan Rong (????) (1906–1946), was the last Empress of China's Qing Dynasty, and Empress of Manchukuo.

She was the daughter of the Minister of Domestic Affairs Rong-Yuan of the Qing Government (??????). At the age of 17, she married the Xuantong Emperor, also known as Puyi.

After the Emperor was forced to abdicate, she and the Emperor moved from Beijing to the City of Tianjin, southeast of Beijing. There, they lived in the former residence of General Zhang (??). When the puppet Manchurian Empire was created by Japan, Emperor Puyi and Empress Wan Rong moved to Shenyang and Changchun. At that time, the Empress was heavily addicted to opium. While living in the Manchurian palace, the addiction to opium and lack of freedom drove her to insanity.

Afterwards, she was sent to the "Cold Palace" (??) - palaces for the isolation of emperor's disfavored consorts, on Puyi's order. The Empress's health was declining dramatically, and she could barely stand up. Eventually, she died alone in the Prison of Yanji, Jilin Province (???????) in 1946 after being captured by the Communist Revolutionary Army.

In 2004, the descendents of the Qing Imperial Household gave her the posthumous title of Empress Xiaogemin (?????).
