Wally George
George Walter Pearch, known as Wally George (December 4, 1931 – October 7, 2003) was the self-proclaimed "Father of Combat TV".

Born in Oakland, California, he was the father of actress Rebecca De Mornay and host of the talk show, Hot Seat. His father was the owner of a shipping company and his mother had been a vaudeville performer.

George's trademark appearance included gray slacks, navy blue blazer, white dress shirt and an American Flag tie. He was a longtime Garden Grove, California resident, often seen around town running errands. For over fifteen years prior to his death, he had been estranged from his actress daughter, Rebecca De Mornay. He also had another teenage daughter, Holly, of whom he was real close.

George passed away at Fountain Valley Hospital from pneumonia. His memorial service was held at the Crystal Cathedral in Garden Grove, California with Dr.Robert H. Schuller presiding over the service-- which had over 100 mourners. He was laid to rest at Forest Lawn, Hollywood Hills, California.
