Wallace Collection
The Wallace Collection is a national art museum located in London. It was established from the private collection of Sir Richard Wallace, which was bequeathed to the UK by his widow in 1897. The museum opened to the public in 1900, in Hertford House in Manchester Square. Admission is free. The collection includes old master paintings (such as The Laughing Cavalier), fine porcelain such as Sevres and Meissen, armour, Eighteenth Century French furniture and diverse objets d'art.
