Walkabout (film)
Walkabout is a 1971 Australian film. It was directed by Nicolas Roeg and based on a book by James Vance Marshall.
Synopsis
A young girl (Jenny Agutter) and her young brother (played by the the director's very young son, Luc Roeg) are stranded in the Australian outback and encounter a Australian Aborigine teen (David Gulpilil) who is going on a walkabout, an initiatory rite of passage. The film contrasts primitive and modern Western lifestyles.
