Walk-to-strikeout ratio
In baseball statistics, walk-to-strikeout ratio (BB/K) is a measure of plate discipline and great knowledge of the strike zone. Generally, a hitter must exhibit enough patience at the plate to not swing at bad pitches and take a walk, but he must also have the ability to not miss good pitches and strikeout. This is calculated as (bases on balls) / (times struck out).
