Vladimir Savon
Vladimir Andreyevich Savon (September 26, 1940 - 2005) was a Ukrainian chess player.

His best tournament result was undoubtedly first in the 1971 Soviet Championship with an undefeated 15/21, ahead of a host of strong players, including David Bronstein, Efim Geller, Lev Polugaevsky, Leonid Stein, Mark Taimanov and three past and future world champions: Mikhail Tal, Vassily Smyslov and Anatoly Karpov.
