Victor Pemberton

Victor Pemberton is a British television and radio script writer and novelist. He worked for many years for the BBC, particularly writing radio plays. He is best-known for his television scripts. These includes writing the story Fury from the Deep for Doctor Who (which he subsequently novelised for Target Books); and was story editor of The Tomb of the Cybermen. In 1976 Pemberton also wrote the audio drama The Pescatons for an experiment in Doctor Who on vinyl record and an early spin-off from the programme: it was aimed at children and is something of a curiosity. He later novelised The Pescatons, which has the distinction of being the final Doctor Who book published under the Target imprint.
