Victor Emmanuel III of Italy
Victor Emmanuel III of Italy ( 11 November, 1869 – 28 December, 1947 ), was the King of Italy ( 29 July, 1900 – 9 May, 1946 ), and claimed the titles Emperor of Ethiopia ( 1936 - 1943 ) and King of Albania (1939 - 1943). He was also mockingly nicknamed sciaboletta, or "little saber", allegedly because his short stature required his uniform to be equipped with a saber shorter than the ordinary.
