Vesthimmerland municipality
As of January 1, 2007 Vesthimmerland municipality will, as the result of Kommunalreformen ("The Municipality Reform" of 2007), come into existence as a municipality (Danish, kommune) in Denmark. It will consist of the (what are currently existing, but on January 1, 2007) former municipalities of Aalestrup, Farsø, Løgstør, and Aars municipalities. This will create a municipality with an area of 815 km² and a total population of 39,176 (2005). The new municipality will belong to the new Region Nordjylland ("North Jutland Region").
