Venet

Venet is the name for the , an indoeuropean group that spread all aroun Europe starting from 2500 B.C. Baltics, Russian, Bretons, Gaelic, Istrians, and others are known to decend from them. From the XV BC the people of the former Venice Republic refer theme self as Venet, but they claim to be arrived there from Pannonia.
