Vasojevici

The Vasojevic tribe is one of the biggest Serbian clans, populates area between Vjetarnih near Bjelo Polje and Matesevo to Plav.

Vaso had three sons: Rajo, Novak, and Mijo. Rajo's descendant's are called Rajevic's, Novak's are called Novakovic's and Mijo's are Mijomanovic's.

I. Rajo had two sons: Djuro and Raslav (Raicha). Djuro's descents are Lopacani (families Veshovic's, Radulovic's, Jolic's, Vulevic's, Marsenic's, Milosevic's, Djekovic's, Odovic's, Velidgiknic's, Pejovic's, Cukic's, Djukic's, Bojovic's, Katic's, Neradovic's, Golubovic's, Vukicevic's, Boricic's, Stoyanovic's, Laban's, Karadzic's etc.) Raslav had two sons: Ugljesa and Dabeta. Ugljesa Kovac's descendants are Kovacevic's and Dabeta's are Dabetici.

KOVACEVIC's (KOVACEVICI)

Kovacevic's are descendants of Vaso's grandchild Ugljesa from Lijeva Rijeka. There is a legend that a man called Damir came to Uglesa to hide from Turks. Damir was blacksmith, so he gave to inhabitants of Lijeva Rijeka tools. One day Damir dissappeared and left his blacksmith tools to Ugljesa. Ugljesa watched how Damir worked, so Ugljesa learned how to forge. People gave him nickname 'Blacksmith' (Kovac) and his descents are called Kovacevici.

Kastratovic's (Kastratovici) got their surename after grand-grandchild of Ugljesa Kovac - Lako Kastrat whose descendants are living in Konjusi, Polimlje, Sekular, Polica, Down Rznica, Zagorje, Budimlje, Berane, and many other places. This family group (Bratstvo) includes Vojvodic's (who got their last name after Duke - Vojvoda Lakic Kastratovic and live Konjusi), Micovic's (who live is Peovci and Barama Kraljskim) and Akovic's (who live in Lugas near town of Berane).

DABETIC's (DABETICI)

got their surename after Dabo (Dabeta) who had five sons. Some of them kept old surename Dabetici and now live in Lijeva Rijeka. Other Dabetics are divided into: Lekics, Djekics, Novicics, Vokovics and Mircicis.
